The Dive Rite Weight Pocket System QB - 32lb is a two-piece weight pocket set built for divers using a TransPac harness or any BCD waist strap with standard 2-inch (5 cm) webbing. The system includes one left-side and one right-side pocket, each rated to hold up to 16 lb (7.25 kg) of weight, for a combined capacity of 32 lb (14.5 kg). The right-hand pocket carries the Dive Rite logo patch, while the left-hand pocket is left plain, allowing divers to identify and load each side correctly by feel or sight.
Each weight pocket uses a quick buckle (QB) release system consisting of a removable insert pocket and a holster that stays fixed to the waist belt. Pulling the handle on the insert releases it from the holster for fast removal, while the holster itself remains securely attached to the harness or BCD throughout the dive. The insert pocket is divided into two internal compartments that separate weights and keep them from sliding or shifting position, supporting consistent trim. The pockets are worn vertically and angled on the waist belt for easier access during gearing up and weight adjustments.
Construction uses 1680-denier ballistic nylon fabric, chosen for resistance to tearing and abrasion in regular dive use. An acetyl quick-release buckle secures the top-loading opening, and nickel-plated brass grommets are used throughout to resist rust and corrosion in saltwater and freshwater environments. Each pocket measures 8.5 in high x 6 in wide x 1.5 in deep (21.6 cm x 15.3 cm x 3.8 cm) and is manufactured in the U.S.A.
