This package pairs the Shearwater Tern dive computer with a Shearwater EVA case sized to fit it, so you have a way to protect the display and bezel as soon as the Tern arrives. The Tern is a watch-style computer with a 1.3-inch full-color AMOLED display at 360 x 360 resolution, and it runs the Buhlmann ZHL-16C algorithm with low, medium, and high gradient factor presets or your own custom settings. It covers Air, Nitrox, 3 Gas Nitrox, Gauge, and Freedive modes and is rated to 120 m / 394 ft, so it works whether you are logging open-circuit dives or timing breath-hold sets.
The Tern's internal lithium-ion battery runs up to 20 hours of dive time at medium brightness and recharges wirelessly on the included USB-C charging station, and Bluetooth handles dive log downloads and firmware updates without cables. Switchable vibration alerts stand in for audible alarms, and the 500-hour dive log at a 10-second sample rate gives you a long history to review between trips.
The EVA case is sized for the Tern (and also fits the Teric, Perdix, Petrel, and Peregrine), with a ballistic nylon exterior and thick anti-shock EVA padding around a zippered closure.
