The inReach Mini 3 Plus adds coverage the watch alone can't provide: two-way satellite messaging and interactive SOS to the Garmin Response center over the Iridium network, for routes where cell towers run out. Its 1.9-inch color touchscreen supports on-device text messaging up to 1,600 characters, and paired with the Garmin Messenger app on a compatible smartphone it adds 30-second voice messaging and photo sharing. TracBack routing, a digital compass, and LiveTrack sharing through Garmin Explore round out the navigation tools, and the impact-resistant polymer housing with IP67 protection is built for rough handling in the field.
