Dennis Bulin founded Zeagle in 1979 with a background most dive equipment designers didn't have: he was an avid skydiver who built his own parachute equipment. When he became an active scuba diver, his experience building life-critical rigging systems transferred directly into the design problems he saw in diving BCDs. In the early 1980s, Zeagle pioneered weight-integrated BCDs at a time when competitors dismissed the approach as unnecessary. Those early Zeagle weight-integrated designs became the industry standard that virtually every BCD manufacturer now follows.
That same engineering instinct carries through the current lineup: the F8 regulator was co-developed with Atomic Aquatics and incorporates more than 20 improvements to breathing performance and service life. The Octo Z II combines the BCD inflator with a backup regulator in a single unit. The Covert XT adds a MOLLE system for accessory attachment. All Zeagle regulator components are Made in USA and Berry Compliant, handcrafted in the company's own factory.
