Important: This item is a Hollis CRIB component and is not a complete BCD. It is designed to be used as part of a backplate and harness system and must be paired with other compatible components to form a full buoyancy compensator setup.
The Hollis CRIB Custom Backpad 2.0 is a padded backplate accessory designed to increase comfort and stability in backplate and harness diving systems. Built to mount directly to standard stainless steel or aluminum backplates, this backpad adds cushioning between the diver and the plate while maintaining a streamlined profile suitable for both recreational and technical configurations. Its ergonomic shape follows the contour of the backplate to improve load distribution without adding unnecessary bulk.
This backpad is part of the Hollis CRIB (Custom Rig Integrated Buoyancy) component system, allowing divers to personalize their setup with functional comfort components and custom color options. The Backpad 2.0 features durable, abrasion-resistant materials and internal padding that resists water absorption, helping the pad retain its structure and shape over repeated dives. Pre-cut mounting slots align with standard backplate hardware, ensuring secure installation without interfering with harness webbing routing.
The low-profile design maintains close contact between the backplate and diver, helping preserve proper trim and reducing unwanted movement during the dive. Its compatibility with continuous webbing harness systems and most standard backplates makes it suitable for single tank and double tank backplate configurations.
