I wasn’t surprised, I traded up from the Atomic Aquatics BC1, which is a fantastic jacket style, to this beaut. Not only does it look great, but it fits perfectly, makes trim so effortless, and I was surprised that it came with added accessory pockets attached as well. For reference, I’m 6’4” 235 lbs, with a 36” waist and this fits perfectly. Some key differences to note if you’re moving from the BC1: you cannot adjust the height of the backplate, it is fixed on the BC2. You cannot adjust the length of the cumberbund strap. Neither of those things proved to be an issue for me.
By far the best fitting mask and clearest glass, ever
Fit was perfect, seal is fantastic and the glass is so clear. I gave it a good scrub with my crest charcoal toothpaste and it took two scrubbing sessions to fully clean the lens if the silicone. I have 5 dives with it and have yet to use an anti fog solution and have had absolutely zero fog issues. I went from a Tusa freedom HD because I wanted a lower volume mask and better glass and I don’t for a second regret purchasing these (I bought 2, one as a backup). Yay atomic aquatics for the win
Two days after I bought this item (with free delivery), Dive Catalogue dropped the price by $150.00. I left a message about this at Dive Catalogue asking having my purchase at the sale price. Within 6 hours, I received an email giving me a refund for the difference. That's terrific customer service.
I bought this to pair with my Ocean Reef Neptune lll since I didn't go with the Ocean Reef 1st stage which fully sealed. Took it to my local dive shop to get the IP tuned with manufacturer specs for the Neptune lll which is between 138 and 142.
