Getting Started with PADI Divemaster
Before enrolling in the eLearning course, make sure you meet all prerequisites and contact your chosen PADI Dive Center or Resort to confirm course availability and schedule.

Certification Requirements

  • Prerequisites: PADI Rescue Diver certification (or equivalent); completion of Emergency First Response® Primary and Secondary Care training (or equivalent) within the past 24 months
  • Logged Dives: Minimum of 40 logged dives
  • Time: PADI eLearning: 10-16 hours (excluding Dive Theory eLearning); Entire course duration varies – contact a PADI Dive Center or Resort for details
  • Age: 18 years (15 for Junior Divemaster)
  • Health: Medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within 12 months
